Digi asked me if I knew why my favorite priest, Father Erik, had not posted on his blog for a while. Well, first he was gone for ten days to California, came home to a busy start of the school year, and now TOMORROW he's going on a pilgrimage to Marian shrines in Europe--for two full weeks--oh, sigh, we will miss him while he's gone!
I encouraged him to bring me a souvenir from Lourdes, please, please, please, but, he probably has many parishioners asking him, but, since I think I'm so special--of course he will bring me one--hope, hope, hope.
While he's gone, Deacon Bob will take over the weekday Masses with Communion services, and Father has a Priest for the weekend Masses. But, geeze, besides missing Father's excellent homilies, who's going to give me my Dinozzo slaps upside the head when I say something off-color. Who's going to bring Stella's Overlord, Gunny to play with her, and who's going to give me spiritual direction while he's gone, whew!
Please pray for our Blessed Mother to watch over him, and bless him on his pilgrimage--Mother, keep him safe and help him to come closer to you and Jesus at every shrine he visits--Amen. Father you are so blessed!

Praying now.
Tara:
I think you need to impress upon Father Erik that he needs a personal secretary, like Monsignor Ganswein, and that secretary would absolutely have to go along with him on these pilgrimages!!
May he have a wonderful trip and also remember to pick up a few goodies for you along the way.
Thanks Vincenzo!
Swissmiss: Father would probably like having a personal secretary to keep everything in order...hmmmm...then he could blog more. And I'm sure that even if Father didn't remember to bring me a souvioner--his personal secretary would--great idea!
Dang, I want to come back as a catholic priest in my next life . . .
